3 days to go!!

With 3 days to go, the tension, stress and excitement are high.  Today we did the final unpack and repacking of our bags. Putting the clothes into waterproof bags so we have them all separated by day, to easily put in the bags on the bike. Also considering a small bag in our carry on  to easily freshen up and change. I recommend this if your taking a long flight. We are expected to stay up all day and get some sight seeing in the very moment we get off the plane, after a 16 hour flight. This is much needed to kickstart our systems into the new time change. Feeling refreshed is one way to achieve this high expectation.

Of course we had to go through electronics that were making this trip. We did that several days ago. We decided on a camera for each of us for our helmets (go-pro and an Ion), the DSLR and 2 lenses, the Senas for our helmets for communication,  and all their chargers. Not to mention clearing all the camera SD cards to be sure they are ready along with the external hard drive to upload them to if needed. Last trip (davidanddinagoforaride) was 6 weeks long across the US and I took 8000 pictures. David took about 4000, most of which were on bike while riding so needless to say we weeded the majority of those out.

We now just have uploading of some movies, shows and possibly documentaries to the iPad and books to the notebook. We will conquer this tonight.

I have included the itinerary below. These routes may change slightly as a few things were added along the existing route. I cannot thank John and Mick enough for all the planning that has gone into this trip. I know we first started planning the trip, sitting at our bar, before John even left to return home to Australia on the 6 week cross country trip. We had even set the approximate dates which we have stuck to, give or take a week. I bought  an Australia trip book and David and I got to work on picking different things we thought would be interesting. Thank you both again for the bikes. David will be riding a Speed Triple and I will be riding a Skorpian MZ. Cheers!
